Students do Cudahy proud at WMSA Solo Ensemble Festival

March 30, 2010

Congratulations to the talented vocalists and insturmentilists from Cudahy High and Middle Schools who represented the city well at the District WMSA Solo and ensemble Festival held Saturday March 27 at Greendale H.S. .

The students performed a variety of solos and emsemble pieces which were evaluated by music educators and they received rankings for their efforts. Many of the Cudahy young people earned ones and many one with a star which means those musicians will go on to the State WMSA solo and ensemble Festival on May 1 at UW-Parkside.

The talent, hard work and professionalism that was on display by the young people at this event is a credit to them, their parents ,and the music faculty of the Cudahy Schools.

A word of thanks to the Cuday Board of Education for supporting the fine arts in our schools as it is an important part of a well rounded education for our young people.

Well done all involved and participating in this program. You young musicians make Cudahy proud!
