The WhiskeyBelles to perform at Franciscan Villa
Come enjoy the WhiskeyBelles as they rock Franciscan Villa in South Milwaukee with their Three Cords and the Truth program. The beautiful trio blends the varied backgrounds of folk, classical and rock to make music that is one of a kind. The concert is Wednesday, July 28, and will begin at 6:30 pm as part of the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center’s Summer Concert Series. This free performance will keep your feet tapping all night under the setting sun.
The WhiskeyBelles are a Milwaukee based female trio that is compared to the Dixie Chicks and the Be Good Tanyas. Their sound consists of a mix of original material and traditional covers, all done in a sparse, acoustic country folk style with close vocal harmonies. The WhiskeyBelles won the 2010 WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) Award for People’s Choice, as well as garnering a nomination for Best New Artist. The trio is made up of guitarist and vocalist, Chrissy Dzioba, vocalist and fiddler, Kimberly Unger-Onstad, and Anjl Rodee who will astound with her talents on the accordion, bass, harmonica and vocals. The band’s energy is through the roof and will be sure to wow the audience with their fun-loving personalities.
Franciscan Villa is located at 3601 S. Chicago Ave. in South Milwaukee. The WhiskeyBelles will be performing outside from 6:30-8 pm behind Franciscan Villa.
