Greeting from your Local Post Office

Greating from your local Post Office. for those who diligently kept their walks and mailbox clear of snow the previous winter,we send a heart-felt " thank you" We are again coming upon another winter season and delivery of mail in extreme,slippery,and snow covered conditions.

 

The Cudahy Post Office currently has 14 city routes. The average time spent out on the street delivering mail is 7 hours/person each day. In average week city carriers spend approxiimately 588 hours delivering mail. They are exposed to weather,traffic,loose pets,and uneven sidewalks. safety of our carriers is our overriding concern.

 

Please keep the surrounding area next to and near your mailbox free of snow and ice;and please clean sidewalks;steps;pathways clear, this winter season.

 

Please check the physical condition of your mailbox,is it safe? Dose it need repair or replaced due to rust,sharp exposed metal,no lid,is the box loose,not mounted securely?
