Cudahy Students Complete CUW Medical Assistant Program
Terry Wick and Dawn MacDonald of Cudahy have graduated from the Medical Assistant program at Concordia University Wisconsin’s Milwaukee South adult education center.
With their certificates in Medical Assisting, Wick and MacDonald are entering a field that is in high demand. According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, Medical Assistant is one of the ten fastest-growing occupations in the country.
Concordia has a 30-year tradition of training students for careers in medical assisting, and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. The Medical Assistant program offered at Milwaukee South takes 9 months to complete, with courses running during the day. Concordia also offers an evening Medical Assistant Program that runs at the Mequon campus, and takes 13 months to complete.
