Thank you Cudahy for a big successful event!

May 2, 2013

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the over 200 volunteer’s organizations and local businesses who contributed to making the City of Cudahy Earth Day / Arbor Day and citywide cleanup a huge success on Saturday April 27th. A huge show of support came from our sponsors, the Cudahy Lions Club – Tree Seedlings, Roundy’s Foods – Hotdogs and Soda, Tiprint Printing of Cudahy – packing materials, “K”Ranch Pub and Grill – Chili, Sheridan Park Friends, Cathy Baerwald – advertising and planning, Annette Toniazzo, and the Cudahy Department of Public Works.

Clean up crews from the Cudahy High School National Honor Society, Cudahy Football Team, Science students from Cudahy Middle and High Schools, National Junior Honor Society, Pack 207, additional Boy and Girls Scout Troup’s, Sheridan Park Friends, and Cudahy residents. Without the hard work and efforts of Joel Puczylowski and all the volunteers, events such as this would not happen. I can’t thank everyone enough for your willingness to make our community better!

Two trees were planted that day at Cudahy City Hall, one honoring Alderman Glen Proeber and the other honoring all City of Cudahy employees past, present and future. Thank you also goes to Former Mayor Ray Glowacki for his generous donation of one of the trees.

I am looking forward to next year’s event. Again, thank you to everyone involved for a successful event.

Mayor John Hohenfeldt
City of Cudahy
