North Shore Bank to Host Fall Fest in Cudahy

Oct. 16, 2012

North Shore Bank today announced that it will host a Fall Fest event on Saturday, October 27, at its Cudahy branch located at 3233 E. Layton Ave. This family-friendly event will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and feature a full day of activities including a costume party contest, kid’s activity area and appearances by Miss Dairyland Hannah Drummond, hair stylist Mary Fisher of Sauvage Style Lounge, a B93 radio remote and the Cudahy Health Department.

“Fall is a wonderful time to get together with friends and family,” said branch manager Suzanne Thomas. “This Fall Fest is a great event to kick start the holiday season and enjoy some great community spirit.”

Project Concern will also be hosting a hot dog sale and a food drive where guests can drop off canned food or donations to their Babies in Need campaign. Other activities for the day will include an art display featuring work from Cudahy High School and Middle School students, a bake sale hosted by the Cudahy High School Cheerleaders, a local business fair and a tour of the Survive Alive Smoke house and fire truck.

The community is invited to participate in a Chili Cook-off by sampling and judging chili served by the Blakewood South Milwaukee PTO and guests will have the opportunity to meet a desert tortoise, Emperor Scorpion and a Madagascar Cockroach, courtesy of The Racine Zoo.

Fall fest attendees will also have a chance to enter to win hundreds of dollars in fun prizes including a $250 Target gift card, Milwaukee Public Museum Passes, Skyline Catering gift baskets and more.

North Shore Bank also invites the public to drop off any worn and tattered U.S. flags as the bank is working with the Exchange Clubs, the American Legion and local Boy Scout troops to honorably dispose of the flags on Veterans Day. The branch will also be accepting donations to support the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, an organization whose mission is to fly WWII veterans to Washington D.C to see the war memorial.
