Sheridan Park Friends invites the community to participate in an Autumn Meeting this Saturday, October 6, at 9:30 a.m. at Sheridan Pavilion. The group will discuss plans for Sheridan Park, reflect recent past activities and honor the contributions of the late Mary Becker in documenting Sheridan Park history. Come to enjoy harvest refreshments and meet your neighbors!
At 10:30 a.m., the group will address invasive honeysuckle and buckthorn east of Sheridan Pool and just south of the service yard. The Park People will provide supplies and training for this important weed-out to preserve natural areas in Sheridan. Volunteers can opt to pick up litter throughout the park.
