Alana Cesarz erupted for 27 points, seven rebounds and three steals and led the Comets to a over the Packers in a WIAA Division 2 girls basketball regional semifinal. Delavan-Darien advanced to face Union Grove on Saturday in a battle of Southern Lakes Conference foes.

The rivalry has returned. South Milwaukee beat Cudahy, 22-21, by scoring two touchdowns in the final quarter in a non-conference game Friday night.

Bats resolve pitched softball battle

It usually only takes a clutch hit or two to come out on top in a softball pitchers duel. Union Grove, ranked fifth in the state coaches poll, saved its timeliest hits for about as late as possible in a seven-inning game. The result was a 2-1 victory over fourth-ranked Cudahy in WIAA Division 2 regional final on Thursday.

Senior battery mates power Cudahy softball

It doesn't take a lump on the head to figure out that Sam Homa and Kelly Gavin have something special going this year. This is the fourth consecutive spring that Homa and Gavin have made up the battery of the Cudahy softball team.

Switch pays off big

Sarah Eichler, a 5-foot-11 senior, usually plays guard for the Grafton girls basketball team. But she patrolled the inside Friday with terrific results. Eichler scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, leading the Black Hawks to a victory over Cudahy in a WIAA Division 2 sectional semifinal.
