CUDAHY

THEFT

A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting and trespassing after he was seen trying to take a bottle of cough syrup from Pick 'n Save, 5851 S Packard Ave., at 8:19 a.m. July 2. He had previously been cited for shoplifting at the store and had been told not to return there.

A Cudahy woman's debit card was stolen and used to make three fraudulent purchases, including one totaling $544 at the Walgreens at 6241 S. Packard Ave., on July 2. The woman believes the cards were stolen while her purse was on a break room table at her place of employment.

An estimated $2,000 in steel was taken from the United Welding and Manufacturing property, 3665 E. Adams Ave, during the past month and reported July 10.

A woofer box was stolen from a vehicle in the 2900 block of East Adams Avenue between 2:30 a.m. July 10 and 8 a.m. July 11. Loss is estimated at $50.

A bicycle was stolen from a yard in the 3300 block of East Allerton Avenue before 7:10 a.m. July 14. The bike had been locked with a cable lock to a stair railing, and the cable was cut. Loss is estimated at $3,500.

ASSAULT

A Cudahy man reported being kicked in the face by an acquaintance outside Speedway, 4944 S. Packard Ave., about 3:44 a.m. July 14. The attacker was with an acquaintance of the victim whom the victim had recently had a drug-related dispute with.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 28-year-old Waukegan, Ill., man was arrested for drunken driving in the 5600 block of South Lake Drive at 12:20 a.m. July 5. His blood alcohol content was 0.15.

VANDALISM

Graffiti was written on the walls of the Cudahy Park pavilion in the 3000 block of East Ramsey Avenue between July 5 and July 10. Symbols were drawn in what appeared to be a "gooey chalklike substance."

Graffiti was written in black marker on the stall walls of the men's bathroom at Sheridan Park, 4800 S. Lake Drive, before 9 p.m. July 10.

Graffiti was spray-painted on a driveway in the 3800 block of East Edgerton Avenue between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. July 12. Damage is estimated at $50.

ST. FRANCIS

THEFT

Two St. Francis high school students were cited for theft for taking unlocked bikes from the bike rack at the school, 4225 S. Lake Drive., June 26. The boys told officers they didn't want to walk home.

A 41-year-old homeless woman was cited for shoplifting for trying to take several items, including vitamins and antacids, from Pick 'n Save, 4698 S. Whitnall Ave., about 4:45 p.m. July 5.

VANDALISM

A 31-year-old Delafield man was cited for vandalism, launching a projectile, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct, a 31-year-old Green Bay woman was cited for vandalism, disorderly conduct, harassment, launching a projectile and receiving stolen property and a 23-year-old West Allis man was cited for vandalism, disorderly conduct, harassment, launching a projectile and receiving stolen property after an incident in which the three drove past an acquaintance and threw a partially full bottle of brandy at the acquaintance's car in the 4000 block of South Kansas Avenue about 2:48 a.m. July 6.

SOUTH MILWAUKEE

BURGLARY

A videogame system was taken from a home in the 800 block of Minnesota Avenue before 4:30 p.m. July 9. Loss is estimated at $250.

A home's back door was kicked in in the 100 block of Brookdale Drive before 2:30 p.m. July 12. Nothing was reported missing.

Money and an MP3 player were taken from a home in the 800 block of Minnesota Avenue before 4:30 p.m. July 12.

THEFT

Potted plants were taken from a yard in the 1400 block of Missouri Avenue the night of July 6.

A bicycle was taken from the 900 block of Madison Avenue before 10:30 p.m. July 9. Loss is estimated at $150.

An air conditioner was taken from a home in the 2400 block of 15th Avenue before 2 p.m. July 10. Loss is estimated at $2,700.

A .22-caliber rifle was taken from a vehicle in the 2700 block of 17th Avenue between 2 p.m. July 10 and 2:30 p.m. July 11.

VANDALISM

Two youths threw an unknown object at a car in the 200 block of Southtowne Place about 8 p.m. July 12, causing damage.

Two of a vehicle's tires were slashed in the 600 block of Marquette Avenue before 1 p.m. July 13.

OTHER

A 13-year-old boy was chased by a group of boys near Ninth and Blake avenues about 9 p.m. July 9. One of the pursuers threatened him with a knife.
