CUDAHY

THEFT

Four wheels were taken from Gateway Motors, 3210 E. Layton Ave., sometime between 7:30 p.m. Jan. 9 and 9 a.m. Jan. 10.

A 54-yer-old Cudahy man was arrested for retail theft after trying to steal vodka from Pick 'n Save, 5851 S. Packard Ave., about 1:15 p.m. Jan. 14.

A gun was reported stolen from a residence in the 6100 block of South Packard Avenue about 12:30 p.m. Jan. 16. The victim suspects his roommate stole the weapon.

A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for retail theft after trying to steal $89 worth of merchandise from CVS Pharmacy, 5740 S. Packard Ave., about 8:15 p.m. Jan. 16.

A license plate was reported taken from a vehicle in the 6000 block of South Illinois Avenue about 1:15 p.m. Jan. 20

A 17-year-old girl was arrested for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia after stealing her mother's credit card during the morning of Jan. 25 from their residence in the 3700 block of East Plankinton Avenue.

A 17-year-old Cudahy boy was arrested for theft after trying to steal a computer flash drive from a classroom at Cudahy High School, 4950 S. Lake Drive, about 3 p.m. Jan. 26.

The front grill of a vehicle was taken in the 5200 block of South Whitnall Avenue sometime between 7:30 p.m. Jan. 26 and 7:50 a.m. Jan. 27.

ASSAULT

A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct after he got into a fight with his sister at a residence in the 3700 block of East Pulaski Ave., about 9:45 p.m. Jan. 15. The argument started over fears that the brother was trying to steal their mother's prescription drugs. The man stuck his sister several times during the confrontation.

A 42-yer-old Cudahy man was assaulted in an alley behind Brother's Sports Bar, 5142 S. Packard Ave., in the early morning hours of Jan. 21. Earlier in the night at the bar, the victim began arguing with the bar's owner about government-funded education grants. Two other patrons forcibly removed the victim from the bar and allegedly beat him up.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 17-year-old Cudahy boy was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after he was found with a marijuana grinder in his backpack at Cudahy High School, 4950 S. Lake Drive., about 1 p.m. Jan. 26. On Jan. 21, the boy was arrested for disorderly conduct at his home in the 3800 block of East Underwood Avenue after acting out of control after being disciplined by his mother.

A 27-year-old Milwaukee man and a 24-year-old Cudahy man were arrested for possession of a controlled substance after police found 3.0 grams of marijuana in their vehicle during a traffic stop in the 3500 block of East Layton Avenue about 12:50 p.m. Jan. 27.

VANDALISM

A 49-year-old Cudahy woman threw a rock through the window of a vehicle belonging to her roommate in the 3600 block of East Hammond Avenue about 9:30 p.m. Jan. 23. The woman had been drinking earlier in the evening when she returned home and asked the victim to drive her to Walmart. When he repeatedly refused her request, she went outside, grabbed a rock and threw it at his car.

A vehicle's window was reported smashed in the 2800 block of East Grange Avenue about 10:45 a.m. Jan. 26.

ST. FRANCIS

THEFT

A wallet was taken from South Shore Manor, 1915 E. Tripoli Ave., sometime between noon and 6 p.m. Jan. 17. Within those six hours, several fraudulent purchases were made at area stores.

A 40-year-old Cudahy woman was arrested for retail theft after trying to steal socks, medications and beer from Pick 'n Save, 4698 S. Whitnall Ave., about 3 p.m. Jan. 19.

A 47-year-old St. Francis woman was arrested for retail theft after trying to steal a tube of anti-wrinkle cream from Pick 'n Save, 4698 S. Whitnall Ave., about 4:43 p.m. Jan. 19.

A 21-year-old St. Francis man and a 20-year-old Cudahy man were arrested for retail theft after trying to steal food from Pick 'n Save, 4698 S. Whitnall Ave., about 8 p.m. Jan. 21. The men tipped off store security by laughing about how they should try to shoplift their food while shopping at the store. Security began following the men; one left the store to position his car in front of the building while the other then walked past the checkout to the car. They were apprehended as they tried to drive away.

OTHER

A 49-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man were arrested for disorderly conduct after they got into a loud argument at a residence in the 2700 block of East Bolivar Avenue about 2:32 p.m. Jan. 21.

SOUTH MILWAUKEE

BURGLARY

A snowblower was taken from a garage in the 800 block of Lakeview Avenue prior to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 29.

THEFT

A South Milwaukee woman reported on Jan. 27 that her credit card number had been used to make fraudulent purchases in Milwaukee.

Clothing and other items were taken from two lockers at South Milwaukee Middle School, 801 15th Ave., about 8 p.m. Jan. 27. Total loss is estimated at $270.

ASSAULT

A 28-year-old Racine woman was arrested for battery at a business in the 3800 block of South Chicago Avenue about 6:42 a.m. Jan. 26. An employee of the business said the woman, also an employee there, had slapped her across the face, choked her and thrown keys at her forehead.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 23-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving in the 1000 block of Sycamore Avenue about 10 p.m. Jan. 19. His blood alcohol content was 0.17. He had been pulled over for driving without headlights on. He also was cited for driving without a valid driver's license.

A 33-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, in the 1000 block of Milwaukee Avenue about 8:55 p.m. Jan. 24. He had driven into a parked car and a tree at 13th and Milwaukee avenues prior to being stopped for speeding. Police found an open case of beer on the floor by the passenger seat. The man's blood was drawn so his BAC could be determined.

A 60-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving in the 900 block of North Chicago Avenue about 11:55 p.m. Jan. 28. The man had driven into a parked car and rolled his minivan onto its side.

VANDALISM

A mailbox in the 1700 block of Williams Avenue was struck and knocked down by a car the night of Jan. 27.

Tires were slashed on two vehicles in the 1000 block of Sycamore Avenue between 10 p.m. Jan. 28 and 1 a.m. Jan. 29. Total damage is estimated at $270.

A 2001 Dodge Durango was scratched while parked in a garage in the 2800 block of Fifth Avenue prior to 4:31 a.m. Jan. 29. No damage estimate is available.

OTHER

A 14-year-old South Milwaukee boy was cited for habitual truancy from South Milwaukee High School, 801 15th Ave., at 10:20 a.m. Jan. 27. The boy has had 30 unexcused absences this school year.

Five teens were cited for underage drinking after a loud party in the 1200 block of Marshall Avenue was reported about 2:36 a.m. Jan. 28. A 16-year-old South Milwaukee boy was cited for obstructing an investigation and possession of drug paraphernalia.
