Man dies from apparent drug overdose

A 32-year-old Cudahy man died from an apparent accidental drug overdose in his residence in the 3800 block of East Birchwood Avenue at 5:30 a.m. April 14.

According to a Cudahy police report:

Emergency personnel responded after the man's mother found him unresponsive in the bathroom.

The woman, who told police her son has struggled with drugs for 15 years, said her son has had a problem with oxycodone and had a seizure in December.

The man was taking prescribed medication for anxiety. It is unknown what caused his death at this time.
