I am Dick Bartoshevich and am asking the residents of the 5th District to re-elect me on Feb. 19 and in the general election on April 2.
I have lived in the 5th District most of my life and raised five children. I have answered all your calls for service and handled your every day problems, which was an honor to do. I will continue to be your servant for three more years if you choose.
I would like to finish the many street projects going on in the district. I still have Illinois Avenue, East Eaton Lane, Merrill Avenue for sewer repair and stormwater and sewer hookup to homes. I would like to have the time to follow up on the projects to make sure you get the proper service that you should have.
Cudahy is right for change to happen because taxes are too high and service fees are getting out of line.
I did not vote for the high dump fee or the $15 garbage fee. If elected, I will work on a small yearly dump fee with a pass for that year. We will have to stop these unnecessary fee increases.
I understand what it takes to live on a fixed income and to keep costs down. I want Cudahy to grow and be successful and proved vital services. We can look at shared and consolidated services to see if it is right for Cudahy.
The city attorney could handle some of the cases that outside lawyers do. We could consolidate the judge's position and part-time city comptroller with the city accountant to save money.
I am asking for your vote in the 5th District for another three-year term. Bless you and have a good new year.
