An 8-year-old Cudahy girl was struck in the face with an open palm by an unknown male near Pulaski Park, 5400 S. Swift Ave., after she witnessed an argument between the suspect and his girlfriend June 3. The girl suffered a bloody nose. The man was described as being of a slim build, white or Hispanic, about 16 years, wearing a red backwards baseball cap, baggy jeans and no shirt. He has a tattoo of a skull on his back with the inscription "I'm Awesome."
A 23-year-old Cudahy woman was arrested for drunken driving after making an illegal turn in the 4700 block of South Whitnall Avenue on June 12. Her blood-alcohol level was 0.14.
A 29-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving after police observed his vehicle speeding and swerving in the 6200 block of South Packard Avenue on June 12. The man's blood-alcohol level was 0.10.
A 30-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving, his second offense, in the 4700 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue after he was observed speeding on June 12. The man's blood-alcohol level was 0.28.
A 60-year-old South Milwaukee woman was arrested for operating while intoxicated after police observed her vehicle make an unsafe lane deviation in the 5500 block of South Packard Avenue on May 29. The woman told police she takes numerous prescription medications, including oxycodone.
A 16-year-old Urbana, Ill., boy was arrested for underage drinking, damage to property, obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct after pounding on a back storm door at a residence in the 3700 block of East Carpenter Avenue on June 14.
A 16-year-old Hartland boy was arrested for resisting police, disorderly conduct and underage drinking after police saw him lying on the street in the 5300 block of south Swift Avenue on June 18. Police were forced to use a stun gun in order to subdue him, and it took six people to hold the youth down for an hour until a sedative that was administered at South Shore St. Luke's Hospital took effect.
Cudahy Police responded to two cases involving domestic violence in the past week.
About $25,000 in cash, a flat-screen TV, video game system, digital camera and camcorder were taken from a residence in the 1300 block of Park Avenue on June 13. A 47-year-old man told police that he and his family were away at a wedding when the burglar gained entry to the residence through a garage door that was opened by a remote control inside a car with an open window in the driveway. The cash, all in $100 bills, was kept hidden in the master bathroom. The man told police he earned the money through the sale of real estate outside the United States. There were no immediate suspects in the case.
A purse, two digital cameras, cash, a gift card and keys, total value $540, were taken from a vehicle parked in a parking lot at Grant Park, 100 Hawthorne Ave., on June 19. The rear driver's side window was smashed, resulting in $150 damage.
An 18-year-old Cudahy man was arrested for drunken driving after police observed his truck on the sidewalk at 10th and Rawson avenues after striking a light pole on June 17. The man's blood-alcohol content was 0.11
A 41-year-old Cudahy woman was arrested for drunken driving, her second offense, in the parking lot of Taco Bell, 112 N. Chicago Ave., after police observed her slumped over the steering wheel with the brake lights on June 20.
A driver's side mirror valued at $250 was broken off a vehicle parked in the 600 block of Williams Avenue on June 14.
A driver's side window valued at $200 was smashed on a truck parked in the 1300 block of Forest Hill Avenue on June 15.
A 15-year-old South Milwaukee girl, an 18-year-old Milwaukee woman and a 19-year-old South Milwaukee man were arrested for underage drinking in the parking lot of Grant Park, 100 Hawthorne Ave., on June 19.
South Milwaukee Police responded to one case involving domestic violence in the past week.
A 23-year-old St. Francis man was arrested for entering a storage area and taking a washing machine, dryer and grill, total value $1,210, at an apartment on the 4300 block of South Nicholson Avenue. The same man also was arrested for taking an aluminum ladder, saw, electric drill and a shovel, total value $270, between June 14 and June 18.
A bike rack, tennis racket, five fishing rods and a set of golf clubs and golf cart were taken from a storage area in the 4300 block of South Nicholson Avenue between April 25 and June 13.
