Teachers Receive Scholarship for Geocaching Club
Congratulations go out to three Cudahy School District teachers who, for their efforts in putting together a proposal to start a Geochaching club, will be presented with a scholarship of $500 to purchase GPS devices.
Cudahy Teacher Honored with Teacher of the Year Award
The Council for Exceptional Children honored Cudahy teacher Lori Lancaster with the Norma Grunderman Award for Teacher of the Year. This award is given out annually to recognize educators for the outstanding work they do with special needs students. Lancaster teaches at the Cudahy Middle School but does work district-wide.

May 28 Renaissance Assembly - Celebrating Student Successes!On Thursday, May 28 at 9 a.m., Cudahy High School will be celebrating its annual Renaissance Assembly in the high school auditorium. At the assembly, more than 300 Cudahy High School students will be honored for their work in the classroom throughout the 2008-2009 school year. To receive an invitation to the assembly, students must have either earned a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or achieved perfect attendance for each of the first three quarters of the school year. 2009 Wisconsin All-State Scholars Program NomineesEach year, high schools in Wisconsin nominate graduating seniors of their choice for a very prestigious distinction title, The Wisconsin All-State Scholars award. Over one hundred students traditionally receive scholarships. Recipients are chosen based on their overall grade point averages and ACT/SAT test score. 2009 Woodland Conference AwardsAt the end of April, the Woodland Conference recognized its top eight students from each school at its annual academic banquet. Representing Cudahy High School were Amarildo Ademaj, Kamille Bustos, Emily Casey, Alisa Damitz, Luke Demos, Rebecca Heian, Samantha Homa, and Donnavon Swirth. These students finished with the top eight grade point averages in this year's graduating class. Congratulations!
37 Students Receive Attendence Awards at Lincoln SchoolCongratulations to the 37 students at Lincoln school who were awarded perfect attendance awards for the second quarter. For their accomplishment, the students received a gift certificate for a free small pizza at Papa Luigi's. Cudahy Teacher Receives Chamber of Commerce's 2009 Educational Advancement AwardDiane Hoblitzell, third grade teacher at J.E. Jones, will receive the Chamber of Commerce's 2009 Educational Advancement Award. This award will be presented on March 20, 2009 at the Annual Cudahy Chamber of Commerce dinner. Eagle Awards at KosciuszkoEach quarter, students at Kosciuszko school win Eagle Awards. This award recognizes outstanding performance and citizenship. Wal-Mart Teacher of the YearCongratulations to Mr. Josh Beck, Cudahy High School English teacher. Not only was he voted by his peers as the 2007-2008 school year Teacher of the Year, he was also recently named the 2008 Wal-Mart teacher of the Year. For his efforts he received a generous gift card from Wal Mart, and the company also donated $1,000 to Cudahy High School. National Merit Scholarship Program Commended StudentAt Cudahy High School, senior student Luke Demos was recently awarded the National Merit Scholarship Program Commended Student award. Renaissance Students of the Month for SeptemberEvery month, the Renaissance Program at the Cudahy High School recognizes one student from each grade as the student of the month. The first Renaissance Students of the Month winners of this school year were recently selected.
