Lincoln school plans to create a recipe book for their cadet fundraiser and they are looking for submissions.

As a part of the Take Your Family to School Week, the PTA at Lincoln school held breakfasts for the parents and children of the school.

2009 Cudahy District Spelling Bee
4th, 5th, and 6th grade students competed in the District Spelling Bee on Thursday, Feb. 19 at Lincoln School.
To qualify for this competition, the students had to win the classroom competition and then their grade level competition.
The competition was great, but in the end Joseph Zych, a 6th grader from J.E. Jones, claimed the title of District Spelling Bee winner. Nathan Marquette from Park View, another 6th grader, was the runner up.
Swimming Success
Congratulations to Ryan Citro and Jake Doughty, they competed in the state diving meet on Friday. Jake Doughty scored a season high of 332 points earning a 7th place finish. Ryan Citro scored 333 points and earned a 6th place finish. Congrats to the divers and their accomplishments this season.
February Renaissance Students
Every month, the Renaissance Program at the Cudahy High School recognizes one student from each grade as the student of the month. The February Renaissance Students of the Month winners are:

March 2 - Read Across America Day
On March 2nd, Kosciuszko Elementary School participated in the national READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY promoting reading while honoring Dr. Seuss's birthday. Students came to school today dressed like a favorite book character.
After the morning’s announcements, Principal Joel Katte read The Story of Ferdinand aloud on the PA system. Throughout the day, teachers switched classes so that students could hear other staff members read stories to them. Kozy also celebrated the day by having a "Drop Everything And Read" time from 2:30 to 2:45 P.M.
Junior Miss Performances

Danielle Dounar, last year's winner, performed a Class A violin solo during the Junior Miss presentation. A string quartet also
performed "Stairway to Heaven."
March Dance and Arrow Week Activites
On Friday, March 13, Cudahy High School will be hosting the annual Glow9 dance.
2009 All City Music Festival
Each year in March, the School District of Cudahy sponsors an All-City Music Festival. This festival is for students in grades 4 through 6 in the Cudahy orchestra and band programs. The students have been working extremely hard with their music teachers to prepare for this event. Each student has prepared a short piece that demonstrates technical and musical skills which have been taught in school. The students will play in front of an adjudicator and receive a rating based on his or her performance.
