Multi-media musical to play at Washington Park July 22
The historic era and "Can Do" attitude of Wisconsin's own CCC camps are brought to life on July 22 at the Washington Park Senior Center, 4420 W. Vliet Str., with a 12:15pm performance of "Camp We-Kan-Tak-It," created by Milwaukee Public Theatre and Voices Theatre. The performance is based on WI CCC camp newspapers and incorporates original photos, drawings, songs and stories from the 1930's, bringing to life what many young men faced during the Depression and emphasizing the positive evnvironmental effects of the project.
