Some business leaders of tomorrow got real-word practice at Marquette University earlier this month. Five juniors from Cudahy High School participated in Marquette’s annual Business Case Competition on Saturday, December 5.
The team, made up of Adam Dema, Jennifer Fakler, Raisa Kote, Maricruz Sanchez and Ryan Scheel, was given a business case and then had 45 minutes to make recommendations and put together a presentation before a panel of local business professionals. The team was judged on creativity, analysis and presentation.
"It was an amazing experience," said team member Jennifer Fakler. "The competition will really help me in the future."
Kevin Jones, team advisor and chairperson of the Business Education Department at Cudahy High School, commends the students for their effort and performance.
“They not only gave up a Saturday of their own time, but they also invested several hours outside of class preparing for the competitions,” Jones said.
The students received complimentary tickets to the December 5th Marquette University basketball game.
Forty high school teams from around Wisconsin and Illinois took part in the Business Case Competition.
