Cudahy Pom Pon Team Performs at the Badgerette Midwest Invitational
The Cudahy Varsity Pon Pom Team recently returned from the Badgerette Midwest Invitational in Chicago and earned an invitation to the premiere event during their camp session in July. The team competed in three events and placed 2nd overall in Division A. Over 30 teams and 500 participants were at the event. The Cudahy High School team has qualified for the Midwest Invitational for the past 15 years.

Mini-Classes at Cudahy High School
On Wednesday, September 9, parents of Cudahy High School students can experience their child's schedule by attending 10-minute mini-classes. During these sessions, teachers explain course goals and parents can ask questions and see a shortened version of their child's day.

2009 Back to School Picnic at Kosciuszko
On September 3, the Kosciuszko PTA held a Back to School Picnic for the parents and children attending the school. At this picnic, families enjoyed great food with the teachers, staff, and other families in the school.

This event was a lot of fun and a huge success!
Cudahy Presentation Advises Incoming Freshman to Make High School Count
On Wednesday, September 23, Cudahy High School will host the presentation Making it Count for incoming freshman. The Making High School Count presentation tells first-semester high school freshmen how to recognize their potential for future success and how to make the most of their high school experience. In this presentation, students learn that the choices they make as early as freshman year can impact their opportunities upon graduation.
Students also will learn tips for a successful transition into high school. They will understand the importance of grades to achieve current and future goals. They will learn test-taking skills and strategies, which enable them to get better grades. They will develop important skills through active involvement in extracurricular activities. And they will learn study skills to make their study time more effective.For more information about this event, contact Cudahy High School at 294-2700.
Cast for Cudahy Middle School's Nottingham Selected
Cudahy Middle School recently selected the cast for their upcoming musical Nottingham. Eighth graders Heaven Harms, Dana Papala, Jorga Lika, and Cameron Vugrinovich are preparing for their roles along with a cast of 43 Cudahy Middle School students.
The date for the Nottingham musical is scheduled for November 12.
Cudahy High School's New Schedule
The daily schedule for Cudahy High School has changed this school year. Last year, the Leadership Team examined the past schedule and found teachers and staff needed more time to collaborate and examine student progress. The new schedule is as follows. The major difference from the past schedule is that Tuesday mornings will begin, for students, at 8:44 A.M.

Park View Receives School of Promise Award for the 7th year in a RowPark View Elementary just received the New Wisconsin Promise School of Recognition award for the 7th year in a row! To be recognized as a School of Promise, student achievement on statewide reading and mathematics assessments must outperform the state average for similar schools. Congratulations to all students and staff at Park View! The award will be presented next month at a ceremony at the State Capitol. 2009 Homecoming Week at Cudahy High SchoolHomecoming week for the Cudahy High School runs from September 21 and ends with a dance on September 26. This year's theme at the high school is Welcome to the Jungle. For this week, Student Council has established themes for each school day. Monday - Clash Day JE Jones Carnival KickoffOn Saturday, Sept 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., rain or shine, JE Jones will host a Carnival Kick-off! The Carnival Kick-off is a PTA sponsored event that has games, prizes, and food for the community. We hope you can make it! Heavenly HatsOn October 12, J.E. Jones is participating in a Heavenly Hats fundraiser. For this fundraiser, each student who donates a dollar can wear a hat to school. The dollar goes to Heavenly Hats. Heavenly Hats is a foundation that provides brand new hats to people who lose their hair due to treatment of cancer. 2009 Homecoming Parade
Come watch and cheer on our students in the 2009 Cudahy High School Homecoming Parade. The parade starts at 6 p.m. and runs down Lake Drive to Munkwitz Ave. to the football field. Punt, Pass, and Kick Competition ResultsOn Saturday, September 19, Kosciuszko school had four students participate in the Punt, Pass, and Kick Competition in Greenfield. These students were Cassie Klatt, Camryn Klatt, Nick Nowak, and Eli Campbell. The winning students, Camryn Klatt, Nick Nowak, and Eli Campbell, now move on to the second competition on October 10. If they finish in the top four of their age bracket, they will move on to the state championship at Lambeau Field during half time of the Packers game. Congratulations! Cudahy Swim Team UpdatesThe Cudahy Girls Varsity swim team is off to a great start this season. On September 23, the team hosted the Woodland Conference Relays. Cudahy finished 10th, beating Thomas Moore, St. Francis, and Greendale. On Wednesday, September 30, the team is traveling to New Berlin West for a conference dual meet. On October 2-3, the team is participating in the South Side Sprints meet at West Allis Central. Good Luck! Lincoln Open House and Ice Cream SocialOn September 29, Lincoln school held an open house along with an ice cream social for the families of the school. The children, parents, grandparents, and staff of Lincoln had a lot of fun.

On Sept. 15, Park View school hosted a wonderful cookout and open house for the families of the school. The families enjoyed meeting the staff and other families and students at the school and the food was great! Thank you to everyone who came!
