Cudahy High School's Key Club Serve Their School and Our Community

Cudahy High School's 52 Key Club members have been busy this year serving their school and community.

During the month of December, students in this club helped set up Cudahy’s outdoor Nativity and then helped with the removal in January.  During the holidays, students baked and donated over 32 dozen cookies to the Bayview Community Center for delivery to homebound seniors.  On December 15, twelve Key Club members sorted and packaged food items and clothes for the Salvation Army Toy Shop and Food Drive. Students have also donated their time to swim meets and basketball tournaments at Cudahy High School.

During the weekend of March 5 through the 7, thirty Key Club members will attend the state convention in Green Bay. They will attend classes and seminars with over 1,000 other Key Club members from Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. This is an opportunity for members to exchange ideas and learn leadership skills that will allow them to better serve their community.

As the weather warms, the Key Club looks forward to participating in the March of Dimes “March for Babies” on April 24.

Key Club elections recently concluded. Congratulations to the following 2010-2011 school year officers: President - Erin Maurer, Vice President - Brittni Vermiglio, Secrteary - Brianna Mollberg, Treasurer - Roxanne Theide, and Bulletin Editor - Sabrina Schwartz.

Family Fun Night at Lincoln School a Great Success

On March 19, Lincoln school held its annual Family Fun Night.  The families and students spent a fun evening eating, playing games, participating in raffles, and enjoying the company of other Lincoln families.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to: all the parent volunteers who devoted their time for this event, Cudahy's National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society (we could not have done this without these wonderful students), the Lincoln teachers and staff who also devoted their time for this event, and all the families who came.

The parents, staff, and students of Lincoln school are amazing. They are what makes yearly events like Family Fun Night such a success.
