Renaissance Assembly Awards

Cudahy High School

On Thursday, May 29, Cudahy High School recognized nearly 250 students at its annual Renaissance Assembly. Students earned invitations to this assembly for several reasons, including earning high honors or honors for each of the first three quarters this school year, achieving perfect attendance every quarter this school year, demonstrating significant improvement in grade point average, or being named Renaissance Student of the Month at some time this school year.

Students earned the following awards: 

  1. Academic letters if this is the first year they achieved high honors (3.50 or higher GPA) for each of the first three quarters
  2. Silver medals if this is the second year they achieved high honors for each of the first three quarters 
  3. Gold medals if this is the third year they achieved high honors for each of the first three quarters
  4. Plaques if this is the fourth year they achieved high honors for each of the first three quarters

The following 11 seniors earned plaques: Katia de la Cruz, Christina Fons, Brad Gear, Bobby Johnson, Adam Lockwood, Caley Milton, Mike Seefeld, Jonnine Verburgt, Jackie Wagner, Amber Wesela, and Colleen Woyach

In addition, Jonnine Verburgt was named the Renaissance Student of the Year.
