Mad Science Club

J.E. Jones

Magic muck.

Can a lemon blow up a balloon?

The magic of lemon juice.

Can you rescue an ice cube?

These are just some of the projects in Wendy Kouba's Mad Science Club at J.E. Jones.

Students in grades 3-6 meet for an hour after school every other week for this club.  Students work with science tools like beakers, test tubes, and graduated cylinders and the exciting projects introduce the concepts of acidity, carbon dioxide, chemical reactions, liquids and solids, and temperature change.

The students in this club are having a great time learning about science!
