The Cudahy High School Business Education Department is pleased to announce that more than 32 percent of all CHS students who participated in the United States Treasury Department’s National Financial Capability Challenge finished in the top 20 percent of all students nationwide. The National Financial Capability Challenge is a test designed to assess and recognize the financial knowledge of high school students. It consists of an online standardized test that allows students nationwide to demonstrate their understanding of personal finance topics such as budgeting, investing, saving, and general banking principles.
More than 84,000 students across the United States participated in this year’s challenge. A total of 65 students in Mr. Kevin Jones’s Personal Finance course participated. Of those 65 students, 32.3 percent, or 21 students, scored in the top 20th percentile. The prom for Cudahy High School was held at the Harley Davidson Museum on Saturday, May 7.
