In Cudahy High School and other Southeastern Wisconsin high schools, teachers have been collaborating and working together to form the group - Literacy and Instructional Specialists (LISN).
The purpose of LISN is to provide a regular opportunity for literacy and instructional coaches to collaborate, brainstorm, and problem-solve. They also share effective strategies, and provide resources for delivering effective instructional support to teachers in middle and high schools.
LISN will serve as a valuable tool for area middle schools and high schools looking for more supprt and rescources. The next LISN meeting in on September 20 at Cudahy High School, where the group plans to discuss Responce to Intervention (RTI) and how to use this strategy to help improve literacy.
