Taekwondo Cudahy Club (Ages 8-14)
Students will learn discipline and respect, team building, Korean terminology, vital self-defense techniques and Songham style taekwondo, to be used only if necessary, with the understanding that the best way to avoid confrontation is not to be there. Students will be promoted in rank upon testing successfully in front of the instructor at the end of the session. There is a $50 fee collected by the instructor upon promotion in belt ranking. There are nine colored belts indicating the level of achievement: (lowest to highest) white, orange, yellow, camouflage, green, purple, blue, brown, red, black. A typical class will contain all or some of the following: teaching of Songham style taekwondo, warm ups and stretching, drills, demonstrations, forms, cardio workouts, sparring, one-steps, self-defense techniques.
BEGINNER
6:15—7:15 pm
white, orange, yellow belts
ADVANCED
7:15—8:15pm
all other colored belts
$30 Res / $60 Non-Res
16-class Session 1 or 2 - sign up for both
SESSION 1: Deadline to register: Sept. 10
Sept. 14, 21, 23, 28, 30; Oct. 5, 7,12,14,19,21,26; Nov. 2, 4, 9, 11 (no class Sept. 16, Oct. 28)
SESSION 2: Deadline to register: Nov. 12
Nov. 16, 23, 30; Dec. 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23; Jan. 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20 (omit Nov 18,25; Dec 28,30)

Lincoln Elementary School gym and/or cafeteria, 4416 S. Packard Ave., Cudahy — Limit 30 per class
$40 Uniform—Required Purchase from Instructor
