I am an Ultra-Conservative, Alpha-Male, True Authentic Leader, Type "C" Personality, who is very active in my community; whether it is donating time, clothes or money for Project Concern or going to Common Council meetings and voicing my opinions. As a blogger, I intend to provide a different viewpoint "The way I see it!" on various world, national and local issues with a few helpful tips & tidbits sprinkled in.
As an Alderman I care about elderly constituents and have snow blown or shoveled snow for them around my house and I was doing that before I was an Alderman because it is the right thing to do as a neighbor and as a caring member of society.
So last Monday I was supposed to have the two pins taken out of my finger. The doctor took the x-rays, looked at them and said, “Today is the day! They are coming out!”
Years ago I thought with each passing year it would get easier, but it doesn’t!
Warning – if blood and graphic pictures bother you don’t look below. Hand photo – where the cut it goes all the way threw and is quashed back together.
It was a sad and somber Friday and Saturday going through the pictures of my aunt with my mom and dad for the funeral. We had some smiles and laughs at some of the pictures. We had many tears with most.
I know the right thing to do but it feels like the wrong thing. I asked the vet to check the results and they didn’t change. My heart hurts as the time ticks down and I see my family member and know tomorrow she will not be around. We have taken care of her for 18 years and in return she has given us so much love! Just like her sister Nala who passed on due to cancer, today we put to sleep Simba.
It is a sad day in my life and for my family.
Well it should not be a shock to anyone that has known me my life or has been following the blog for the last 4+ years that I am an Ultra-Conservative! It is right there in the bio and in the posts I write. I don’t hide it whatsoever!
Today we had to put to sleep one of my office cats, Nala, that my mother-in-law took over being a great mother to her and her sister Simba. She had cancer. My housecat, Babez, would not accept the two sisters and was very mean towards them.
So as you know I am brutally honest and that is the way I have always been. I don’t sugar coat things or walk on eggshells, I will however use tack to get my point across. I backup my opinions with facts, figures and the truth. This is not to say I am perfect or don’t make mistakes because I do. I learn from them and grow.
