The tax levy was passed tonight by the Common Council by a 4 to 1 (I was the NO) for a Total Property Tax Levy of $8,526,507 which comes out to a 3.097% increase.

Last night at the Finance Committee meeting on a 3 to 2 vote (4th District Alderperson Jason Litkowiec and myself, 3rd District Alderperson Randy Hollenbeck voting NO) passed a 3.913% increase.

A 5.9% Cudahy Tax Levy Increase?
Last night at the Cudahy Finance Committee meeting Cudahy Finance Director Bruce Schuknecht gave the committee member in attendance ( 2nd District Alderperson Mary Schissel was absent) many tax levy proposals with the last one coming in as a 4.595% tax levy increase.
It’s easy to pick out the Liberals and the Centrists just by how they see Governor Walker’s 2016 Budget and Walker calling for removing all elected officials from the board, including himself.
On the evening of July 21, 2015, the Common Council of the City of Cudahy passed the budget time table for the 2016 Municipal Budget. Based on the schedule, the public meetings are listed below. All meetings will be held at Cudahy City Hall, 5050 South Lake Drive. Currently start times for the meetings are tentative. The official agenda will be able to be found on the cities website, www.cudahy-wi.gov as we get closer to the actual meeting dates.

The Cudahy Finance Committee passed a City Budget Tax Levy of 1.123% on a (3 to 2 vote) with Alderperson Mary Schissel, Alderperson Randy Hollenbeck, and Alderperson Richard Bartoshevich voting for it and Alderperson Justin Moralez and Alderperson Jason Litkowiec voting against after their amendment to raise it to 2.001% failed.
The next City of Cudahy Finance Committee meeting to consider the revised 2015 Municipal Budget will be held at Cudahy City Hall today Monday October 13, 2014 at 6:15 p.m.
Next Finance Committee meeting for the budget will be Monday October 13th at 6:15 pm at City Hall.
The Finance Committee did not pass a budget. It will be rescheduled October 13th or 14th. Once it is finalized I will let you know.
September 30, 2014 - The Finance Committee Meeting is open to the public and held at Cudahy City Hall, 5050 South Lake Drive and will begin at 6:15 p.m. for the presentation of the Executive Budget to the Finance Committee.
