The Cudahy Finance Committee passed a City Budget Tax Levy of 1.123% on a (3 to 2 vote) with Alderperson Mary Schissel, Alderperson Randy Hollenbeck, and Alderperson Richard Bartoshevich voting for it and Alderperson Justin Moralez and Alderperson Jason Litkowiec voting against after their amendment to raise it to 2.001% failed.
The next City of Cudahy Finance Committee meeting to consider the revised 2015 Municipal Budget will be held at Cudahy City Hall today Monday October 13, 2014 at 6:15 p.m.
Next Finance Committee meeting for the budget will be Monday October 13th at 6:15 pm at City Hall.
The Finance Committee did not pass a budget. It will be rescheduled October 13th or 14th. Once it is finalized I will let you know.
September 30, 2014 - The Finance Committee Meeting is open to the public and held at Cudahy City Hall, 5050 South Lake Drive and will begin at 6:15 p.m. for the presentation of the Executive Budget to the Finance Committee.

I think taking some of the power away from the public sector unions is a major part of Governor Walker’s plan, has been from the get go. Whether it was directly stated or not doesn’t really matter since Governors do many things that they NEVER said during the campaign trail time. It is silly to think otherwise.
There is a refinancing deadline of Friday February 25th (NOT the June 30th deadline) to allow time to refinance state bonds in order to save the money. If not serious cuts will additionally be made.
