Why Not
I am a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. I believe in sharing my talents and experiences by giving back to the community by giving my time to coaching, church and especially to the disability community. I truly believe that all men and women are created equally.
Summer Vacation
Today I start my summer vacation for the first time in over 25 years. It is an unplanned vacation, but we will have to make the best of it.
My vacation will consist of many projects that there is just not enough hours in the day to get down because of other priorities. Namely decluttering the house.
Now that the kids are all old enough, they realize that this summer is probably going to be different. One of their immediate supervisors (me), has the potential to be ensuring that their daily chores are done and done correctly, not in a 12, 10 or 8 year old way.
My kids ask what I am going to do, at this point I am not sure what I really want to do. 25 years in the transportation industry is a long time. But, in the last year or so, I have found that there are a lot of possibilities out there that I have never thought about. I have participated in some projects that I have found very rewarding and it is something I am very interested in persuing.
I have always been told that things happen for a reason or when one door closes another one opens. I guess I will see if this is true.
