Patrick Cudahy's Corporate Office is NOT Leaving Cudahy

Cudahy, Development

After some workers were let go on Friday, there were many people talking that Patrick Cudahy’s Corporate Office was moving to Chicago, and Patrick Cudahy was not going to rebuild the areas that were involved in the fire.

I have not personally received information back from Patrick Cudahy on these issues, but here is the email I did receive.

***MEDIA ALERT***

Patrick Cudahy Corporate Office is NOT Leaving Cudahy

CUDAHY – (April 12, 2010) – Patrick Cudahy officials have told Cudahy City Hall that a rumor started over the weekend stating the meatpacking plant’s corporate headquarters would be moving out of Cudahy is absolutely NOT TRUE.

“Chief Operating Officer Bill Otis reassured me this morning that neither their corporate office nor their manufacturing is relocating,” said Lara Fritts, Director of Economic Development for the City of Cudahy.  “Patrick Cudahy is as strong as ever and remains committed to this community.”

Fritts says Otis explained to her that a few jobs relating to a conversion of the company’s IT system have been moved to Chicago, because that’s where the new system is managed.  The corporate office in Cudahy has not been affected.

Patrick Cudahy is the City of Cudahy’s largest employer.
