I am a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. I believe in sharing my talents and experiences by giving back to the community by giving my time to coaching, church and especially to the disability community. I truly believe that all men and women are created equally.
We have 18 days until the next Mayor of Cudahy is elected. Whether it be Mayor McCue or Mr. Day, I wish them both luck.
While there is a Mayoral Forum planned for next week, I do not see where either candidate has any public appearances planned prior to the election. If they do, I have not seen them listed on Cudahy Now promoting their appearances. Other then contacting each individual, how is the general public supposed to gather information on each candidate?
As I wrote a couple of weeks ago on CudahyNow in Your Stories, this forum is a disservice to the people of Cudahy. Most of the people who attended the primary debate will be working while this forum is taking place. I just took time off to go to Madison to attend my Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities meetings. My wife is hoping to attend the forum.
My wife and I have thought that both candidates have seemed to be quiet publically heading into this election. We would have thought that both gentlemen would have had a much more public presence in these last couple of weeks, to get their word out to the public.
I saw in this morning’s paper, that the turn out for the primary was 22% and they were hoping for a larger turnout for the general election. If the turnout is larger, I hope that the people going to the polls will be informed in their decision making process, but with both candidates appearing to be keeping lower profiles, it may be difficult.
