I am a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. I believe in sharing my talents and experiences by giving back to the community by giving my time to coaching, church and especially to the disability community. I truly believe that all men and women are created equally.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead
I am a parent of a young man who is succeeding in his home school district and would be eligible for the for the special needs scholarship. But, it is not "Choice" when one is forced to give up their legal protections. There are too many issues with the Special Needs Voucher and that is why I am fighting against it.
I talk a lot about community, both in this blog and in my daily job. It is not just what our community can do for us, but it is also up to us to contribute to our community. As individuals, we have the ability to help shape our community.
There was a nice turnout Thursday Night at the Independence First for the Stop Special Needs Voucher Listening Session. A very knowledgable panel of students, parents and educators.
