Microsoft Patch Conflicts with Some Malware to Cause Blue Screen of Death Crash

 

Microsoft is urging Windows users to give their computers the once-over with an anti-virus program after a patch caused some users to experience the infamous blue screen of death crash.

 

After some investigation on the software giant’s part it was discovered that MS 10-015 was conflicting with malware on some XP systems and causing a crash.

 

"In order to get the information we need to fully analyze the issue, some of our support engineers have actually driven to customer locations and picked up affected systems so we can get the needed crash data ..." said Microsoft’s Jerry Bryant.
