I am an Ultra-Conservative, Alpha-Male, True Authentic Leader, Type "C" Personality, who is very active in my community; whether it is donating time, clothes or money for Project Concern or going to Common Council meetings and voicing my opinions. As a blogger, I intend to provide a different viewpoint "The way I see it!" on various world, national and local issues with a few helpful tips & tidbits sprinkled in.
Here is a letter I received via the U.S. Postal Service that didn’t contain a return address and I am very thankful just to be kept in the loop. I don’t feel the need to know people’s names when they want to share information. Please keep them coming!
It is the lack of information and transparency of government, any government at any level that does concern me!

The Sunday November 1 st, 2009 edition of the paper carried a glowing, and well done article on the City of Cudahy Wisconsin. My compliments to the P.R. Person for her efforts.
However, there are several facts and statements that should be adjusted. The Community Development Director was brought in with a salary around $83,000 plus 2 assistants, one the author of the article, an education bonus and a budget around $340,000. So far in the first year we have had fewer businesses then when her service started.
The façade program is less then advertised-one ongoing redo and one business on the brink of failure. One façade grant money was used to re-roof the building.
The local high school has one of the lowest graduation requirements of any of the districts in our area. The high school has a beautiful new circular driveway with a new electrified sign, but a very poor computer lab.
We talk about building a new business base with local companies, but fire engine house #2 is rebuilding its kitchen. Yet the cabinets they are installing have been ordered from Menards and the firefighters themselves will be doing the labor. There are several cabinet shops in town, which pay high local taxes that could use the work, just to stay in town. How would the local Firefighter’s Local like to have the carpenter’s union people fight fires?
