I am an Ultra-Conservative, Alpha-Male, True Authentic Leader, Type "C" Personality, who is very active in my community; whether it is donating time, clothes or money for Project Concern or going to Common Council meetings and voicing my opinions. As a blogger, I intend to provide a different viewpoint "The way I see it!" on various world, national and local issues with a few helpful tips & tidbits sprinkled in.
Recently Cudahy Alderman Joe Mikolajczak and South Milwaukee Alderman David Bartoshevich each worked on an idea to save each city money by consolidation of the municipal judges.
In an effort to bring better services in an economical trying time, this idea was put forward to combine the Municipal courts of

It was only an idea floated out and there is not enough time this election period to get it in place, so it will have to be looked at next year after the spring elections.

A few people’s thoughts on this.
Question posed:
“Hard to understand why when you try to save the city money and improve city services people are against it.”
“Well if you're trying to save the taxpayers money and some people are against that, then they must be Democrats.”
“Or protecting their fiefdom. I find it amazing how some people feel that they are entitled to a municipal position.”
“It’s so easy to spend other peoples money”
“People acting in their own self-interest is so passé.”
Alderman Joe proposed some budget cuts. Got the support of one person. What happen to all of the only a 0% budget talk? Some people talk a good game. Others move to do.
Combining the Judgeships and reducing the Judge’s pay are budget cuts!

I find most of your blogs to be unfair and inaccurate. Your blogs are full of spin and only used to create gossip. This blog about the municipal court seems particulary bad.
This comment "The powers just don't think it is a good thing. Mainly on the Cudahy side"
This does not appear correct. The Personnel Committee voted 5-0 to draft an ordinance combining the courts.
That proposed ordinance went to the Laws & Licensing Committee where it was discussed. The matter is still pending and was voted 4-0(including Alderman Mikolajczak) to lay the item over. It wasn't voted down or shot down. The committee is waiting to get more information. And as you stated in your blog, it's not practical for the courts to be combined before the 2010 spring election, there is simply not enough time.
I find your comment about Cudahy mainly objecting to be strange. When did the idea ever hit the City of South Milwaukee's agenda?
One last thing, Mr. Hollenbeck where are your quotes coming from. Who said them and when?
It seems wrong to me to quote without stating the source.
But yet again these blogs are not intended to be honest caring opinions about our city. The blog is intended to stroke your ego.

Truth4Randy- you talk and write just like Mayor McCue. Makes me wonder.
IT’S REAL HARD TO BE A TOUGH GUY ON AN ANONYMOUS BLOG.
Unfair and inaccurate? Give examples!!!!
Alderman Tom voted no against it!
Laws & Licensing Committee dropped discussions on it.
If you want my sources get a court order, and then you can have them. Another thing I told Mayor McCue!
Remember give examples!!!! Ryan McCue I am still waiting for them! Why use the pretence?
South1 - Nov 06, 2009 8:24 PM
It is obvious that Joe is your source since it is his idea.
As far as spin, no but your blogs are slanted, but that is want an opinion is isn’t it judge? The judge might think you will keep the vendetta going that he said Joe has going.
Keep up the excellent work Randy, you all know you are not a reporter, but a pundit. At least the intelligent ones!

Mayor McCue could have put the combining of the municipal judges on the agenda and called a special session of the Common Council, but he didn’t. So it is a dead issue.
Give me examples of other blog posts that you say are spin!
Truth4Randy - Nov 08, 2009 7:48 AM
You and I are in a agreement to a point. You can blame Mayor McCue for many things, this isn't one of them.
Council was slow. Since April, it took them 6 months to vote. Why on earth so?
Combining of judges on the eve of an election. Not very practical. A lot of work needs to get done and more information needs to be provided. Cudahy is not prepared, South Milwaukee has not done a thing. I ask again when did this hit South Milwaukee's agenda?
Dead issue, I don't know. But likely not to happen before the spring election.
