So are you saying this idea wasnt even vetted in an open dialogue forum? If that is true that is irresponsible of the current administration. This is a great idea to consolidate, and as long as the magistrates are ok with it, it should be discussed openly.

Truth4Randy

Mr. Hollenbeck,

I find most of your blogs to be unfair and inaccurate. Your blogs are full of spin and only used to create gossip. This blog about the municipal court seems particulary bad.

This comment "The powers just don't think it is a good thing. Mainly on the Cudahy side"

This does not appear correct. The Personnel Committee voted 5-0 to draft an ordinance combining the courts.

That proposed ordinance went to the Laws & Licensing Committee where it was discussed. The matter is still pending and was voted 4-0(including Alderman Mikolajczak) to lay the item over. It wasn't voted down or shot down. The committee is waiting to get more information. And as you stated in your blog, it's not practical for the courts to be combined before the 2010 spring election, there is simply not enough time.

I find your comment about Cudahy mainly objecting to be strange. When did the idea ever hit the City of South Milwaukee's agenda?

One last thing, Mr. Hollenbeck where are your quotes coming from. Who said them and when?

It seems wrong to me to quote without stating the source.

But yet again these blogs are not intended to be honest caring opinions about our city. The blog is intended to stroke your ego.

Randy Hollenbeck

JTozz - as far as vetted I am not sure how to answer that. I do know that it has been talked about for at least the last year. Talks were stopped because of South Milwaukee elections. No open forum’s have been done. It would be nice if the local administration would openly talk about it.

Truth4Randy- you talk and write just like Mayor McCue. Makes me wonder.

IT’S REAL HARD TO BE A TOUGH GUY ON AN ANONYMOUS BLOG.

Unfair and inaccurate? Give examples!!!!

Alderman Tom voted no against it!

Laws & Licensing Committee dropped discussions on it.

If you want my sources get a court order, and then you can have them. Another thing I told Mayor McCue!

Remember give examples!!!! Ryan McCue I am still waiting for them! Why use the pretence?

Randy truth4randy is the Cudahy Judge. He has sour grapes.

It is obvious that Joe is your source since it is his idea.

As far as spin, no but your blogs are slanted, but that is want an opinion is isn’t it judge? The judge might think you will keep the vendetta going that he said Joe has going.

Keep up the excellent work Randy, you all know you are not a reporter, but a pundit. At least the intelligent ones!

South1

truth4randy you never said if you are for or against combining the judgeship, you just are looking for attention!

Randy Hollenbeck

Let’s clear up things. Tom voted no on the reducing salary of the judge. Yes, he did vote in favor of the combining and it did pass, but it will not go anywhere and is dead!

Mayor McCue could have put the combining of the municipal judges on the agenda and called a special session of the Common Council, but he didn’t. So it is a dead issue.

Give me examples of other blog posts that you say are spin!

Truth4Randy

Mr. Hollenbeck,

You and I are in a agreement to a point. You can blame Mayor McCue for many things, this isn't one of them.

Council was slow. Since April, it took them 6 months to vote. Why on earth so?

Combining of judges on the eve of an election. Not very practical. A lot of work needs to get done and more information needs to be provided. Cudahy is not prepared, South Milwaukee has not done a thing. I ask again when did this hit South Milwaukee's agenda?

Dead issue, I don't know. But likely not to happen before the spring election.
