Crime, Crime Alert, Cudahy, Police, Safety

This information is provide by Cudahy Police Sergeant Chris Blunt

The Cudahy Police Department is investigating a burglary at the Sears Outlet, 6045 S. Packard Ave on 9/22/09.  The incident is believed to have occurred on or about 11:15 pm.  Upon the arrival of officers, a large hole was discovered in a concrete block wall, on the west side of the building.  Surveillance footage shows one subject dressed completely in camouflage from head to toe, possibly wearing goggles, black gloves, work boots, and a backpack full of tools.  The suspect is believed to have had a bolt cutter, the lock missing from an exterior service door and presumably, whatever tools used to force through the cement block wall.  Per the video, suspect appears to be about 5’10, with a thin build.  The entire building was surrounded and an extensive search inside, with the aid of our canine did not yield a suspect.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Cudahy Police Department.
