The Way I See It!

I am an Ultra-Conservative, Alpha-Male, True Authentic Leader, Type "C" Personality, who is very active in my community; whether it is donating time, clothes or money for Project Concern or going to Common Council meetings and voicing my opinions. As a blogger, I intend to provide a different viewpoint "The way I see it!" on various world, national and local issues with a few helpful tips & tidbits sprinkled in.

From Someone Else's Eyes

Cudahy, Email

Here is an email I was CC’d in on.  While I don’t agree with the individual, I understand their point.  I am sure some people feel this same way, while others will disagree.

It is the first amendment, which gives everyone a voice to be heard.  I think everyone’s voice is important and should be heard even one that I don’t personally agree with.

I applaud your efforts in recognizing our Firefighters and other citizens of Cudahy affected by the Fire, I would like to be a little critical, I hope you will accept this as just my thoughts, it is not intended to be negative.

First, the Firefighters are paid well, and rightly so.  Also, I am sure much of the time was overtime so I feel they were well compensated, again, they earn everything they get, I salute them.

Now, the part where I get a little out of sorts, the fundraiser is for Packing house workers displaced by the fire, a portion went back to work within days, some within a week and all will be back soon, in the meantime they will draw unemployment and other benefits from the union, this does not appear to be a critical situation when compared to the hundreds, or maybe thousands who are around the City out of work,  unemployment used up, and no job to return to, they are unable to pay rent, utilities, and other payments, I am sure any one of them would feel fortunate to be laid off for a few weeks knowing they had a job to return to.

To witness the hardship on our community on only has to visit Project Concern on Monday mornings and observe the number of needy families lined up for what is available, I feel if half the effort went to helping Project Concern  to care for these folds as you have put into helping the Packing House workers it would make a big difference

Again, please take these comments as they are intended, a suggestion, not intended to be negative, your efforts are to be commended.
