PC security forces face April 1 showdown with Conficker worm
You May be a Conficker Zombie if Your XP Hasn't Been Updated Since October 2008
People using Windows XP and Vista who haven't upgraded their operating systems since October 2008 have a PC probably sent into a zombie botnet army. The reason: Conficker worms can block downloaded antivirus software and access to security Web sites.
The highly sophisticated variants sent by Conficker worm creators are able to geo-locate computers to improve their attraction for computer criminals. They invade the system by the autorun.inf function on external hard drives in Windows or by weak passwords.
The Conficker worms can also be spread by Linux or Mac.
Please make sure you have the Microsoft Update for this vulnerability patched
