Ms. Elaine Kneeous

Jennifer is a one in a million stay-at-home mom. (More like one OF a million stay at home moms!) She graduated from a liberal arts college but there is nothing liberal OR artsy about her. She is married to Kevin Fischer of This Just In, and together they have a beautiful young daughter Kyla Audrey. In no particular order she loves dogs, wine, a good bargain, her family, pizza, and entertaining. Follow her blog of all things miscellaneous including but not limited to cooking and baking, entertaining and party planning, being a mommy, and homekeeping.

Our daughter has a way with words

When Kyla was a little younger, Kevin & I used to joke about what it would be like when she started school.  “My daddy is really cool…  he has a blog…  he’s on TV…  he’s on the radio…  he’s my hero…”  She loves her daddy so much and wants to do literally everything he does.  It’s sweet and cute and we hope that never ends.

The other night, we got a glimpse confirming our thoughts.  Kyla was outside playing with some neighbor kids.  Somehow, the conversation turned to Kevin and when he had his hip replacement surgery this past spring.

“My daddy was in the hospital… he stayed overnight and we got to visit him, and help him eat his dinner IN BED!”  She went on to explain:  “They took out his old bone and gave him a new one.”  “His scar is like this…” (extending her fingers in representation of the length.)

Oh my… even Daddy’s surgery is a badge of honor for HER to wear.  You should have heard her explaining it all.  It was like she was an adult, sitting in a local watering hole with friends explaining it so everyone could understand.  I don’t think I’ll ever forget her telling her friends in such basic terms how they took out his old bone.  Out of the mouths of babes.
