"What you're saying then, folks, is what we've had for the last nine years is what we want for the next three: no action”
If you ever wanted a perfect example of why the city of Franklin is stuck in a seemingly never-ending inertia when it comes to economic progress, just read this.
The people leading (not really) our city argue and moan and complain about whether a study with dust on its pages should be updated. A study. Should we renew…a study? Or should we table (reject) a decision to update the study indefinitely?
I didn't want to spend over $38,000 to study an old study. But this is what our paid reps debated all night? This was a meeting priority?
Meanwhile in other places, elected officials VOTE to TAKE ACTION and BUILD THINGS that will result in NEW BUSINESSES that will bring NEW CUSTOMERS and CREATE JOBS.
You can’t read this and not come away with any other opinion but that Franklin has a bunch of boobs in control. I feel sorry that my good friend Steve Olson has to deal with this nonsense. Franklin will never get ahead at this rate with this type of Neanderthal thinking.
PS. Note to my alderman, Kristen Wilhelm. I did not vote for you in April, only to have you vote ABSTAIN, on any issue. Take a position and vote yes or no on all items before you. I do not want my representative acting like a potted plant. I want him/her to VOTE UP OR DOWN.
