New Kid's View

Family lured Jerrianne and her husband to South Milwaukee in 2002 from Southern California where she worked as, first, a journalist, then, as a court information officer. She now stays busy with media-relations consulting, playing with her three grandchildren (part of the lure), writing, discovering her new environs, and hoping her garden will produce before the first fall frost.

Garlic Mustard Mustard Pickers

News from South Milwaukee's premiere Celtic band, The Garlic Mustard Pickers:

In the Milwaukee area, we're doing a 1-hr performance at the Hales Corners Farmer's Market.

We're hoping to do this indoors in their barn, where the acoustics are excellent.  Otherwise, we'll be outside, with chairs available for the audience.

Farmer's Market at the Stahl-Conrad Homestead
9724 West Forest Home Avenue, Hales Corners
performance time:  10:00-11:00 AM

Also, later on Saturday, we'll be performing at a nature center down in Kenosha County (town of Bristol).

South Milwaukee High, homecoming, TPing

South Milwaukee High students had their pre-homecoming celebration Thursday night. From the looks of things they had a great time. The evidence, as usual, was hanging from the trees. Yes, the TPing was quite a sight. The students are to be commended. They did a great job. This picture doesn't do it justice.
