Why Not

I am a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. I believe in sharing my talents and experiences by giving back to the community by giving my time to coaching, church and especially to the disability community. I truly believe that all men and women are created equally.

Building a Community

I talk a lot about community, both in this blog and in my daily job.  It is not just what our community can do for us, but it is also up to us to contribute to our community.  As individuals, we have the ability to help shape our community. 

Each of us belongs to many different communities.  We have our family community, our faith community, our school community, our athletic community and our neighborhood community to name a few.  I can guarantee you that there are communities amongst us that we don’t even know exist. When we put in the time, the sweat equity, we feel good when we see a community thrive. I think that everybody in crossover communities benefit when one community is doing well.

The Final Push Against Special Needs Vouchers

I am a parent of a young man who is succeeding in his home school district and would be eligible for the for the special needs scholarship. But, it is not "Choice" when one is forced to give up their legal protections. There are too many issues with the Special Needs Voucher and that is why I am fighting against it. 

As we wind down the battle to have the Special Needs Voucher removed from the State Budget, I thought I would share my thoughts on an opinion piece in support of the Special Needs Scholarship that appeared in the Milwaukee Journal earlier this week.
