Updated - Yes Zachary Wisniewski Did...
Yes Zachary Wisniewski did quit blogging on the MJS’s Now Network (South Milwaukee Now) because he was getting some “nasty” comments and was thinned skinned.
Here are the emails going back and forth between MJS Now Online Editor Mark Maley and myself. I also included the comments from “The Spotlight” that were the “nasty” ones.
One thing before the email chains, at the time in 2009 we could NOT have the comments removed or moderated and I know on Zach’s blogging blue he does moderate them and not being able to was something new for him.

Stay classy, "Al T Jones."
If you'd ever like to sit down, have a cup of coffee, and clear the air regarding your misconceptions about me, let me know, because I know a few good places we could get a good cup of joe.
JeffnRVW - May 13, 2009 11:19
Zach you are making an assumption that I don’t dislike nor hate government workers or the government. Show me one piece of proof that I have said that!
Zach, your mind is so closed as your assumption of me shows.
I stand for smaller government, not big government.
Zach, when you grownup a little you will see the entitlements for what it is!
JeffnRVW - May 13, 2009 11:13
Al, I echo Jtozz’s comments that people are not locked in to a political view and have hope that people can learn and grow. Yes, I would like to see Zach move away from liberal into the center left at least.
Yes, Zach has not been very nice and doesn’t seem to play well others on the opposite views when it gets heated.
I have tried to be fair with Zach and so has fellow blogger Randy Hollenbeck, but sometimes being fair is only a one-way street. Zach did try and get Randy’s blog taken down and did a post that comes across as calling Randy a racist and in my viewpoint is "Libel" towards Randy. As one of Randy’s friends I have tried to push Randy into contacting a lawyer on it. Zach could have taken it down as a good well jester. And it is never too late to put out an olive branch. It is with in Zach’s power!
Zach and his friends know what bed they made and must live and sleep in it.
JTozz - May 13, 2009 10:29 AM
Wow, I dont know what has happened in the past but it sure seems like Zach has ruffled many a feather.
I am no saint, but I dont think a difference in political views warrants personal attacks. However, maybe personal attacks have been the influence of such postings in the past.
Also, I am always concerned when someone says they've always been Democrat and will always be Democrat (or any party affiliation for that matter). I am an independent thinker and I would not want to limit my stance on issues since both parties seem to waiver in and out. Perhaps the history of the Democratic party hasnt proved this point (anyone know what movement the Democratic party formed out of?)

It would appear that Zach is not who he is pretending to be! I was told you see yourself as a holy man, yet you spew hatred. Attack others! Name call! Even dabbled in ageism during the last election. You act as if you care about South Milwaukee, but all you care about is your own hide. I see you are now even sulking that you might lose 8 days of pay. 8 days to which you will no doubt signup for unemployment for those 8 days.
Friends of South Milwaukee, do yourself a favor and just do a Google search on Zach Wisniewski and see what type of man he is!

Zach, think about how many people you have wronged the next time you are at church. Think about how even your coworkers cannot stand you, but have just tolerated you. They laugh at you and call you the unfriendly name of Super ‘Richard’ behind your back. You are a user of people Zach. How well you use the system.
How can you look at yourself in the mirror Zach. I am not talking about your triple chin, but the person you are.
You worked with your friends to try and get a state aid fired because you don’t like his political views. You are the first one to complain about anything and the first one to do just what you complained about after the eyes are not on you.
Zach, Jeff is wrong about you since a crow can never become an eagle. You are clueless and only taking an endeavor of looking into the school board because of sour grapes that you lost. You are not the high and mighty you thought and are lashing out. This is all a theatrical show you are displaying, but a show no doubt. How I pity your kids for having a parent that can say one thing and does another.
zwisniewski - May 12, 2009 4:35 PM
Jeff, my state employment has absolutely nothing to do with my political beliefs. I was a Democrat before I was a state employee, and I'll be a Democrat long after I leave state service.
As for my beliefs changing, I'll just say they haven't changed one bit. Though I'm a liberal, I've always believed in the importance of clean, efficient government, but unlike you, I don't dislike government and government workers, because I know there are good workers who do good work on behalf of Wisconsin's taxpayers.
And Jeff, you talk about entitlements costing America its future, but I'm wondering if you can tell me which state agency has grown the most in terms of dollars spent and employees over the past 20 years. Here's a clue: it's not an agency that administers entitlement programs.
JeffnRVW - May 12, 2009 10:43
Zach, 15% is too high. Instead of cuts of jobs or services, city, state and federal employees need to have their paychecks frozen until balanced budgets are in place and the recession is over.
I see America as putting the cart before the horse. Civil servant people work for the people not the other way around!
I know you scoffed at me on your other blog when I told you entitlements are costing America it’s future. Well it is!
Zach, it is nice to see you coming around to the conservative viewpoints. Let us hope and pray that you are not just doing this because you are looking at running for local government, but have truly turned a corner. Maybe you will have moved away from being a screaming tax and spend liberal to a conservative democrat. I am not unrealistic that you would move to the Republican Party. That would only happen if you lost your state job and started your own small business.
JTozz - May 12, 2009 8:24
You are absolutely right. A 15% increase in any situation is crazy. A general rule is to go by the CPI and then if outstanding award above that, or a bonus structure.
As a matter of fact, a person in the private industry would have already had a contract based on performance bonus and not a standard pay structure. (I am not suggesting an educational system have performance bonuses, imo this breeds corruption) However, compensation committees have gone out of bounds at many corporations left unchecked by owners or stockholders.
zwisniewski - May 08, 2009 5:30 PM
Steve, I'm not sure what you're trying to say. Are you trying to say administrators should get these kinds of raises?
Putting aside the current economic difficulties we're in, I think 15% in pay raises over 4 years is awfully generous, don't you?
zwisniewski - May 08, 2009 5:27 PM
JTozz, I will agree that too often voters do forget to follow their elected officials to see that those officials are truly acting in their best interests, and that may be the case with the South Milwaukee School Board. Perhaps taxpayers here in South Milwaukee are perfectly okay with these kinds of pay raises for the school district's administrators, but as a parent, I'd rather see the money that's being given to administrators for their generous pay raises go towards keeping teachers and programs that benefit students in place.
JTozz - May 08, 2009 8:55 AM
I think there is a big difference between a worker that makes 30-40k and gets a pay freeze or reduction vs someone making 100kplus. That being said, this story about such high pay raises, even way above CPI, is an awful sign that those in administrations just are out of touch with reality.
And perhaps this issue is opening Zach's eyes to a fundamental problem with vote and forget.
SteveTRVW - May 07, 2009 10:20 PM
Zach, you have seemed to forget how you felt about pay freezes in the private sector!
Seems like this post and your other one at blogging blue you forget. What about the people's family and feeding them?

Hi Randy,
Great blog today! In reference to the two quotes, from today and cited below, I have something to say....
Zach works for and represents the DOC (Dept. of Corrections) in the work he does. I have years of experience (without being incarcerated) in the Ministry and Resourcing work I do for State inmates in the beginning, middle and reentry phases of their lives (I work for free). I have to say, I have never run into such a large population of expensive "people haters", as I have from within the DOC....from the Wardens all the way through the Parole Officers. Understanding that it's a tough job to work with, what some might call unsavory personalities, but to become just like the people they (DOC) serve??? I surely don't want such an ignorant, greedy, and abusive individual representing me, the taxpayer in my fair City of Cudahy.
Further, the comment by Zach on May 12, 2009.....And Jeff, you talk....
Everyone knows that we all (all of the US) are on Government Welfare/Entitlements!
The larger your pay scale, the more welfare/entitlements you receive. The lower your income (indigents, disabled, Seniors etc.) the lower the welfare/entitlements. Now Zach is making probably 3x's the income of a person on SSI (State Welfare not Social Security earned benefits) and they both get Medical Benefits (the lower income doesn't get Pension or Sick Days paid, Medical Leave or other perks). So, he makes 3x's the Welfare/Entitlements of anyone below his pay grade.
You say how? Well, all these Welfare/Entitlements come from the Government as: Tax Credits, Tax Deductions, Loopholes in Tax Code, Energy Credits/Subsidies, 50% Coupon on TV Converter boxes, Farmer subsidies for food we eat, School Subsidies/Govt. Grants for his kids in many forms, Obama Cell Phones for his Paroles to talk with him, Unemployment Income, Obama $300 Stimulus check to all Americans.......all subsidized by the Government.
Now, take the income to a higher bracket, say Millionaire/Billionaires, and the subsidies of Welfare/Entitlements are even more generous for those folks! It is fact, that the richest people in America receive the most Welfare with the most tax breaks, etc.....subsidized by the government.
In summary, the richer you are the more free $ you get and keep; the poorer you are the more you have to lose, no matter how hard you try!
ps - I have known many more lower income people to the kindest most honorable people than ever; compared to any folks above the financial poverty line. Why is that???
