I am an Ultra-Conservative, Alpha-Male, True Authentic Leader, Type "C" Personality, who is very active in my community; whether it is donating time, clothes or money for Project Concern or going to Common Council meetings and voicing my opinions. As a blogger, I intend to provide a different viewpoint "The way I see it!" on various world, national and local issues with a few helpful tips & tidbits sprinkled in.
So retired Cudahy DPW personnel, Mike Clark, who is running for Alderman in the Cudahy 5th District race stated this:
“I can vote on all issues. My pension is set by the state and obviuosly my social security is set by the federal government. Therefore I can vote on all issues as opposed to Mr. Bartoshevich who constanty abstains.”
He also told us this:
Given Mr. Clark is a retired Cudahy DPW personnel – Wouldn’t Mike Clark if on the Personnel Committee would have to NOT vote on subjects of Retiree Pensions and Health Care Benefits and when the Common Council votes on those subjects as well as it would be a Conflict of Interest?
Mr. Clark also says his pension of 33 years is not large – “I do get a city pension after 33 years. I don't consider it large.”
Mr. Clark care to tell the voters now what your pension is? I know, I know, someone could do an Open records Request for it, as it is public information, I just would like to give Mr. Clark the chance to let people know what it is up front. I am not saying we should not thank him for his 33 years of service or he shouldn’t get a pension, but when someone says he doesn’t consider it large it shows us a glimpse of what numbers and money means to him! We need perspective on it.
