I am a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. I believe in sharing my talents and experiences by giving back to the community by giving my time to coaching, church and especially to the disability community. I truly believe that all men and women are created equally.
Hard to believe that on this below zero morning I am writing about summer fun.
A reminder to all local baseball and softball players. This weekend, January 26 & 27, The Cudahy St.Francis Little Baseball Association ( http://www.ballcharts.com/teams/index.php?team=csfbaseball ) will be holding their sign ups for the 2013 season. The sign ups are being held at the Light Palace Banquet Hall (5880 S Packard Ave, Cudahy) from 12:00-4:00.
I consider this an asset for the community of Cudahy. As a parent, I have made some great friendships. I know that for my kids, they have made some lifelong friends. We all look forward for the start of the season to reconnect with some of the families that we don't get the opportunity to see much due to our various school activities.
CSFLBA took a chance when I first approached them about starting a Challenger Baseball Division for individuals with special needs. That was about 7 years ago. We started with about 5-7 kids. Over time, we have grown to about 25-30. I know that many of the athletes look forward to our Saturday mornings together. CSFLBA treats the league just like any other league, as with most kids, they look forward to the snack shack being open.
Please remember to sign up
