Cudahy High School Refuses To Help Bullied Teen

Submitted By A Worried Resident

Every student should have the right to an uninterrupted, rewarding education, right?

Well teachers and officials at Cudahy High School are brushing away a teen's request for help to escape comments and rude remarks in one of this student's classes.

For several weeks now, this teen has been trying to seek help, with one simple request: to be removed from the class in which the rude and hurtful remarks are being said.

Teachers as well as school officials will not listen to her story and say that this student is not telling the truth.

If she was not telling the truth, then why would this student leave school down and crying until she got home and she had somebody to talk to?  I thought that teachers and school officials were supposed to create a healthy learning environment, both mentally and physically.  It seems that they are not doing that here.

Without naming names, something needs to be done about this situation, but more people need to step up and support this student through a difficult time in their life.  I know how hard it is to go to school knowing that you will be made fun of, as I was the victim of this when I was in high school.
