Miller Bridge and Old Memories

This bridge in South Milwaukee brings back many memories. I used to live right down the street from it and would walk to the park regularly. Looking back, from a 10 year old's persective, the Miller bridge was my entrance to a different world. It was a world of exploring, of ice skating, of hiking with my handsome older brother, of swimming in the cold lake, of attempting to fish in the river, and of just getting away with friends. My hope is that, even today, this bridge provides the same warm greeting for kids as it did for me so many years ago.  Even the quirky sayings spray-painted on this bridge made me smile.
