I'm on the Marquette University Engineering Department mailing list. One of their emails recently caught my attention. It's an engineering class specifically for girls. I don't have any daughters. However, if I did, I would certainly encourage them to take this class.
There are too many myths out there that discourage girls from going into the fields of math and science. (Engineering is a "man's profession". Science is "unfeminine" or "nerdy".) These myths are wrong.
