I know that a lot of people know about Box Tops. Especially if you are a parent with kids in school.
However, I am throwing the reminder out there for people who may not have kids in school but still want a very easy way to contribute to the kids and schools in their community.
If you see a Box Top label on items you purchase from the store, make sure to cut them out and save them. This is an easy act of kindness. Just clip them, save them, and give them to any family with school age kids in this area. They would gladly take them. Some schools even have contests; the class with the most Box Tops wins a party (or some other award).
Each Box Top you see on an item is equal to one dime. And believe me - Box Tops add up. Being involved in the school and in the PTA, I know they are a major contributor to my local school. We use the Box Top money to help fund field trips, purchase items in the classroom, buy extra books, assist with school events, and on and on.
If you want to do even more, here is the Box Top web site for more information. http://www.boxtops4education.com/
The web site allows you to enter your local school in all kinds of contests, find coupons for Box Top items, and you can earn eBoxTops by becoming a member and shopping online. It's all free.
