I am a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. I believe in sharing my talents and experiences by giving back to the community by giving my time to coaching, church and especially to the disability community. I truly believe that all men and women are created equally.

Preparing for the November Election - Know Your Rights

As with every election, Your Vote Counts.  You have the Right and the Duty to Vote.  As you prepare for the November Elections, I thought I would share some resources with you.

A series of educational videos were made by many individuals I have worked with while advocating. These short videos explain your rights.  The entire series was made prior to the Voter ID law being challenged and is currently in the Court system.  As a reminder, Voter ID is NOT required at this time (8/12/12).  If you are told otherwise, please contact the the following organizations right away:

New Cudahy Business - The Salty Dog Guest Blog

Last Saturday night, my wife and I enjoyed some adult time at a new Cudahy establishment.  We had not been out to a local Cudahy establishment in a while so we thought we would walk down to a new business, The Salty Dog.  We had the opportunigty to meet with Lisa & Donnie, 2 of the owners.  They shared with us their vision, I let them know that I do have a blog and I would be willing to share their story.  It is definitely someplace that we will be returning.  Here is their story.

One month ago, my partners and I opened a new community based tavern in Cudahy called “The Salty Dog”. As patrons, Don Schermer, Anthony Winneshiek and I would often talk about an ideal place to be able to get together, enjoy a beverage and feel safe and comfortable. We believe we have created just that place!

School District Clarifications

I ran into Superintendent Jim Heiden at the Cudahy Homecoming football game.  There seems to be a burning question within the community so I thought I would ask him direct, “Jim, did you get a $20,000 raise.” Jim replied that he did not; in fact he received no raise.
