I am a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. I believe in sharing my talents and experiences by giving back to the community by giving my time to coaching, church and especially to the disability community. I truly believe that all men and women are created equally.
As with every election, Your Vote Counts. You have the Right and the Duty to Vote. As you prepare for the November Elections, I thought I would share some resources with you.
A series of educational videos were made by many individuals I have worked with while advocating. These short videos explain your rights. The entire series was made prior to the Voter ID law being challenged and is currently in the Court system. As a reminder, Voter ID is NOT required at this time (8/12/12). If you are told otherwise, please contact the the following organizations right away:
Wisconsin State Elections Board 866-868-3947
Disability Rights Wisconsin 800-928-8778 (Madison) 800-708-3034 (Milwaukee) 877-338-3724 (Rice Lake)

With the changes of some voting districts, there has been some confusion on where individuals actually vote. The Government Accountability Board has a great website: Wisconsin Voter Public Access (https://vpa.wi.gov/mainpage.aspx?Language=en-us) that can assist with your questions. Another piece of this website, is it that you can see a sample ballot. I saw it during a presentation last night, but I could not see it today when I entered my personal information. But when the ballot is listed, you have the opportunity to educate your self on all of the candidates running in your district prior to the election.
I hope that every eligible voter exercises their Right and gets out and votes in November.
