So I am sure most of have heard that come Monday infected computers will not get out to the Internet.
So what can I do to protect my computer and make sure I don’t have an infected computer?
If it looks like your computer might have been compromised or you just don’t know, you need to run these. I will put the links below for these things.
First run erunt and do a backup of your registry.
You should download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (mbam) and scan with it. When you do it, don't do the trial version and do a quick scan first and let it finish, then do a full scan.
Once that is done you need to run the eset online virus scan.
erunt http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/erunt/ click on the server 1 on the left side.
Install and it will do the registry backup and allow to add to the startup group.
mbam http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html
click green download icon on the left
eset http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/ run it, allow it to update
To keep your computer doing well, make sure to run the Microsoft Windows updates, scan your computer with mbam at least once a month, make sure your Anti-Virus software is up-to-date and get some registry backups and so a system restore as well.
